Athletic Trainer

Medicine in Motion is looking for a full-time athletic trainer join our growing sports medicine clinic. This position will share time between the clinical setting and outreach coverage for college club sports teams. The position requires flexibility, dedication and strong communication and rehabilitation skills. This full-time position’s hours will include afternoon, evening and occasional weekend work.  The clinical responsibilities involve outpatient rehabilitation, assisting with patient flow, patient history taking, and DME/ crutch fitting.   There is also the opportunity to learn new skills including x-ray set up and processing.

This is a full-time position with compensation including salary, based on education, experience and abilities. Additional qualifications include Texas licensure or candidacy for licensure, Master’s Degree, and BOC certification.

Medical Assistant

The entry level medical assistants at Medicine In Motion are responsible for greeting, rooming, and preparing patients for their physician visit. As a medical assistant you are required to take patients vitals and other medical history information and document it accurately in the patient’s electronic medical health record. As with all other positions that require patient interaction, the ability to communicate clearly and politely with all patients is of extreme importance. This position will also be expected to cross train in the front office to assist with patient scheduling and other basic front office procedures.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Vital Signs including Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Temperature, Height, and Weight
  • Data Entry
  • Efficiently rooming patients
  • Patient preparation for procedures including EKG, Injections, and Spirometry
  • Stocking Medical Supplies
  • Cleaning Medical Treatment Rooms
  • Scheduling Patients
  • Inbound and Outbound Patient Phone calls/ Patient Triage
  •  Processing Lab and Radiology Orders

Required Knowledge/Skill/Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Efficient multitasking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package and basic computer applications
  • Knowledge of health insurance plans
  • Ability to take Vital Signs Manually and Electronically

Required Education/Experience:
This position requires 1-2 years of related experience in a clinical setting or the equivalent training and experience in a scholastic setting and be a High School graduate/GED.  Vocational school or some college courses strongly recommended. Other qualities we are looking for are assertiveness, efficient time management, superior communication skills, and positive demeanor.
